- A formal announcement for the Registration for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2020 has been made by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board and
Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2020 to start on 23rd June 2020 & Registration from 1st April 2020
. The registration would be on 'First-Come-First-Serve Basis' against a predefine quota per day per route. a total of 6 lakh pilgrims that would be registered for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2020.
- Maha Shivaratri is celebrated every year in reverence of Lord Shiva. The day Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati. The Maha Shivaratri Festival, also popularly known as 'Shivaratri' (spelt as Sivaratri, Shivaratri, Sivarathri, and Shivarathri) or 'Great Night of Lord Shiva’ marks the wedding of Shiva and Shakti.
- In the month of Shravan (July - August) the Holy Cave Shrine of Shri Amarnath has the devout flock, where the image of Lord Shiva, in the form of a Lingam, is formed naturally of ice - stalagmite, and which waxes and wanes with the moon. Shri Amarnath Yatra is for a specific period, commencing on an announced date, mostly on the auspicious day of Purshotam Purnima.
